BPA Lined Cans
BPA is commonly found in hard plastics and resins, and it is used to coat metal cans. A number of in vitro and animal studies have found that this ingredient can lead to numerous health issues, including cancer, infertility, obesity and diabetes. Unless a canned item is labeled BPA free, it probably contains bisphenol-A (BPA). Also, you should know that BPA is found in a number of plastic products and dental composites.

Nitrites and nitrates are chemicals used as preservatives to prevent food from going rancid. However, they are also used to add color to the meat. When exposed to heat, these compounds change into by-products known as N-nitroso compounds, such as nitrosamines and nitrosamides. N-nitroso compounds are linked to increased risk of cancer development.
